Thank you for visiting the Lindsay Novak Photography website. Below is a little snippit of how I view the world.

My favorite kind of photography: Each time I am asked what kind of photography I love most, I answer "people". Humans have so many emotions to convey, there is always something interesting to capture. A slight squint of the eye or upward turn of the corner of a mouth can create an entirely different emotion. It is easy to photograph a face, but ca
pturing a face along with emotion means I have captured someone's personality.

My goal for each photo session: I see every one of my photo sessions as a story-telling opportunity. It is my goal to tell a story, a story that captures the essence of the client and his or her personality. I strive to keep my photographs true to their subjects by getting to know my clients beforehand and exchanging ideas with them to give them the best service and experience possible.

My Style: There are lots of trendy words out there right now for photographic styles.  I prefer a fusion of primarily lifestyle photography with photojournalism.
Lifestyle photography is photography re-creating "real" life situations in a controlled setting. Lifestyle photography is one of the most popular and consistent types of photography in the market today. Lighting is generally bright, airy and quite natural looking.Lifestyle photography is photography re-creating "real" life situations in a controlled setting. My Methods: I often go on-site to clients' houses or go to a site of their choice in order to create a more natural environment. Being a location photographer allows me endless background choices and encourages my subjects to be themselves in front of the camera.

My Equipment: Canon all the way baby! Favorite Lenses: EF 24-70mm L Series F2.8, EFS 10-22mm F3.5, Sigma Fisheye, EF 50mm…Oh it is so hard to choose!!! The 10-22 is probably my favorite. I love wide angle shots.

Professional Merits: I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America).  This means I am constantly educating myself photographically.  I am actively involved in the photography community to keep my style, methods, and equipment up-to-date in order to better serve my clients.

Where I live: Currently I reside in Inverness, FL, but I am from the upper-Northeast portion of the US, most recently Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Biology as well as Education.
